Echeveria X 'Blue Waves' Unknown.
A very nice blue hybrid which was described in Les Carruthers 1975 "Cadley Miniature Plants" list.
He describes it as "Blue rosette of boat shaped leaves with very wavy margins, reaches 6" dia.

This plant is very attractive all the year round especially in Winter when the leaves are enhanced with a pink tinge, especially on the wavy margins.

The mature rosettes grow up to 20 cm Ø, which sometimes are unable to support the large rosette and several flower stems.
The inflorescence is up to 60 cm tall, bearing pinkish red and purple flowers, from May to August in the Northern hemisphere.

Offsets from main stem are produced at intervals.

CULTIVATION:
Very easy in normal C&S compost with some added slow release fertiliser. Growth in the summer is fairly rapid so repot when the plant outgrows it's container. In the winter, conditions should be just enough water to stop drying out at a temperature of 3/5ºC, and good air circulation and good light is essential.
.
PROPAGATION:
Easy in Spring and early Summer by offsets or cuttings.
The flowering stem technique is sometimes successful with the inflorescence stems produced by this hybrid, if taken before the flower buds appear.
