Kalanchoe manginii variety Lovebells.
This
variety of K. manginii is not much different from the type except the flowers which are a different shade of red tending to reddish purple. Flowering is in late Winter to early Spring.
It is good plant for a hanging pot or basket as the stems trail over the side very effectively.
The quickest way to make a nice display is to cheat by inserting half a dozen or so cuttings in the pot at the start.
It makes a good house plant as it does not like direct sun preferring semi-shade. I grow the plant in a hanging pot under the greenhouse staging.

CULTIVATION: is easy using a rich C & S compost and kept out of bright light. The plant needs to be well watered all the year round. Winter minimum temperature is 4ºC but better at 6ºC. The leaves turn yellow and shrivel in full sun so be warned. Re pot every 2/3 years using the above compost with added slow release fertiliser.

PROPAGATION: from cuttings in Spring and early summer. As the flowers fade, the flower heads can sometimes produce many tiny plantlets (adventitious buds) which can be planted in a tray and grown on.
