Sedum nussbaumerianum Bitter
Location Vera Cruz, Zacuapan - Mexico.
This species is often confused with a similar species Sedum adolphii.
Some authors describe the above plant as nussbaumerianum,
others as adolphii.
I
originally acquired it without a name
but have recently identified it in R. L. Evans book "Handbook of
Cultivated Sedums", which has a comprehensive description of this
plant. If anybody knows better I would be interested to know details.
My plant almost falls into the category of "hardy"
in South West England. It survives hard frosts, hail and snow but does
get damaged, so is better given some protection outside. It has never
flowered but I live in hope.

CULTIVATION:
is very easy using a normal C & S compost and grown with exposure
to full sunlight outside. In the growing season water normally, in In
the winter
a pane of glass will keep it very happy
at 0ºC minimum.
Re pot every 2/3 years using a high potash compost with
slow release fertiliser to keep the bright yellow colour and bright
red margins. In bad light conditions the leaves go light green.
PROPAGATION: is easy from offsets or cuttings in Spring and Summer.
I have not not tried leaf cuttings, which I imagine will probably succeed.
