Sedum adolphii Prof.
Dr. R. Hamet
Location Mexico.
This species is often confused with a similar species. Sedum nussbaumerianum.
Some authors describe the above plant as adolphii,
others as nussbaumerianum.
I
originally acquired it as adolphii
so am sticking with it until some expert describes both plants with
colour illustrations.
Some differences of the two species I have noted are:-
The
magnificent inflorescence which appears every year without fail, and
the leaves which are bronze - yellow, whereas nussbaumerianum
has yet to flower and leaves are banana - yellow with red edges.

CULTIVATION: is very easy using a normal C & S compost and grown
with exposure to full light. In the growing season water normally, less
in the winter
in a dry atmosphere in good light at 3ºC minimum.
Replant every 2/3 years using a good compost, tidy up by trimming back
in early Spring adding cuttings as necessary to make a nice potfull.
PROPAGATION: very easy from offsets, cuttings or leaves in Spring. Leaves
take 2 or 3 years to produce flowering size plants.
