Graptopetalum filiferumS.Watson (Whitehead)
Location Chihuahua Mexico.
This miniature plant forms clumps of grey green rosettes, each leaf terminating in a filiform (long and slender - curly). The inflorescence develops into a 5-10 cm tall, branching, with many flower buds which open as attractive cream and red flowers.

Another most unusual succulents, it excels with its captivating inflorescence.
Unfortunately this is a plant which I no longer have due to damp conditions, which "saw the plant off".

CULTIVATION is easy using a well drained compost and full light with no water allowed to collect in the rosettes. In the growing season, water when dry, from the base using a plant saucer. In the winter turn the saucer over to ensure that no surplus water collects. Minimum winter temperature of 5ºC with good light.
Re pot every 1/2 years using a sandy compost with slow release fertiliser.

PROPAGATION is easy with care, from offsets taken in the summer. They can be slow to take so use a gritty seed type of compost.
