Kalanchoe gastonis-bonnieriK45
A marvellous plant especially when grown as a foliage specimen with attractive large soft leaves up to 16 cm long X 5.5 cm across. Each leaf is decorated with brownish-green marks and spots and small plantlets develop at the apices. The plant grows up to 60 cm high when a 30 cm inflorescence with pinkish-green flowers is produced.
Cultivation is fairly easy providing it is regularly repotted and well watered in the growing season, it is happy with a minimum temperature of 7°C in winter.
The plant does best in good indirect light, full sunlight burns the leaves unless the plant is grown hard from the onset when the leaves are brownish-red and all parts are smaller.
Propagation is by leaf cuttings and adventitious plantlets.
