Kalanchoe
tormentosa cv Dark Star K145
A nice cultivar of the ever popular tormentosa.
This plant also originated in South Africa to the best of my knowledge. It has
the typical habit of the species but is a super colour. The leaves of the mature
plants are up to 6 cms long by 1.5 cms wide with dense hair, brown spotted margins
and orange- brown tips. The plants in the photo are young plants from leaf cuttings.
Cultivation and propagation is as easy as the common specious. Growth is vigorous
and the plant's branch and form clumps.
Give some water in the winter to keep the plants 'ticking over' and aim for
a minimum temperature of 5°C. Full light gives the best (dark) colour.
