Cotyledon undulata foliage

Cotyledon undulata.
This plant was purchased this year to replace my loss of several years back. The opposite photo shows leaves and stems of a plant rather starved of nutrients, but it is now (21/10/01) looking fine after being repotted. Cultivation is fairly easy- not too much water and absolutely maximum light to keep growth compact and colourful. Winter care 6º/8º C and a dry atmosphere with air flow from an electric fan heater. Propagation from cuttings or fresh seed.
The beautiful leaves give all year round pleasure with their wavy edges, sometimes red edged.

Cotyledon undulata inflorescence

Inflorescence.

The typical "orbiculata" pendulous flowers appear in midsummer and are orange red with a pinkish patina.
Each inflorescence is born on a 300/350 mm long stem.
Seed has been produced, I will make a sowing to establish if it is viable.
