LOCATION: and origin unknown.
A hybrid (C. falcata x C. mesembryanthemopsis). The leaves are up to 35 mm across x 40 mm long, grey - green thick and highly succulent. The inflorescence is a thyrse with many short branches densely bearing salmon pink flowers, each of which is 7-8 mm Ø. The plant is slow growing and forms many offsets, eventually producing a large mat of rosettes each flowering at the same time. The effect is second to none and is usually a winner for its class at shows.

CULTIVATION: fairly easy in good light. Normal C & S compost is OK, requiring normal watering in the growing season, very little or none in the winter if grown at a minimum temperature of 4º C.

PROPAGATION: Easy from cuttings in Spring and Summer. It may grow from leaves if the entire leaf can be removed. I have never tried doing it as it could possibly spoil the plant, and cuttings are such a doddle.
