Crassula sarcocaulis alba - Ecklon
Each offshoot terminates in numerous flowers opening over a period of (2 - 4 weeks) in late July & early August, which is the main flowering period. The rosy pink buds open as a dazzling white with a hint of pink. Each flower is 4 mm Ø and a true miniature jewel, but the scent is faintly repulsive as are all flowers that use flies as pollinators.

After flowering the remains are persistent and an unattractive brown so require removal by hand to keep the plants appearance. Weather permitting another one or two flushes of flowers will appear, but are not as showy as the first. In the late Autumn I tidy the plants up and put them against a south facing wall.
