Crassula sarcocaulis alba - Ecklon
This plant originates from various parts of South Africa and is considered as semi - hardy in the UK. In SW England is usually hardy in sheltered spots. I grow this, and the more common pink form, in pots outside all the year round. Some branches are lost in the winter but are quickly replaced by new spring growth. In habit the plant forms a mini

tree like form which makes for an almost perfect flowering bonsai. The plant shown is 12 years old from a cutting and grows an improved trunk each year. Cultivation could not be easier, it will take neglect and over watering and 2ºC in its stride.
Propagation is a "doddle" even fallen branches will root as can be seen in the photo above.
