Echeveria X Fallax - Gossot
The individual flowers open up to about 10mm dia. and are 10mm long showing all interior parts clearly on view. Many other Echeverias have the outer petals united into a partially closed tube with just the tips flaring as in E. harmsii, but not this one.
E. x Fallax flowers are a glorious golden yellow inside with the petal outer surfaces a pink flushed

yellow. The calyx bracts start green then become purplish pink with a red tip. Five carpels are a greenish yellow with orange red stigmas. The stamens bear orange brown anthers with yellow pollen. Flowers are probably sterile but test sowings have been made of the dust from the dried ovules. Image 10X size on 800X600 screen.
