Echeveria x Ruth JaneAmerican Hybrid
Originated D Wright Los Alamos ?:
One of the superb hybrids from the USA. This one must be around the top best for the glorious deep pink, with violet and blue shading and crenate edged, undulating, spatulate leaves.
The inflorescence is a long stem with pale pink flowers which hardly show up against the glory of the foliage. In my opinion it is best to cut off the flower stems as soon as they appear, which diverts the plants energy to producing bigger leaves.
The leaf rosette can reach 180 cm Ø on a fast

growing stem.
CULTIVATION: A rich compost is required and plenty of water in the growing season. High light
conditions are essential to enhance the colours
.
The plant requires some water in the winter at 6غ C minimum.
PROPAGATION: is tricky, the above picture shows that beheading will work if carried out in the spring /early summer. No offsets are produced normally, beheading and using the top is the only way of producing cuttings. It is best to start new plants every 2 years to maintain good stock.
